Made to measure with pleasure …

Dear Sister

I hope you like this unusual skirt which has been in my head to make for you for quite some time now.

The orange/brown/floral fabrics cane to me in the bundle of material you stored up your attic from Nanna. You took care of it all for so long before you handed everything over to me and so I wanted you to have something of them too.

I thought about Nanna and Mammy whilst I was making it for you and thought about all that they gave us, and although it hadn’t originally been in my design I decided to embroider some words to describe what they gave us. I chose Family, Strength, Hope, Love and History and all of these words now form part of your skirt.

Earth colours and a raw slightly bohemian look – made only for YOU!

Love you lots

Your big Sister xx

Progression of the Path to Fresh East …

Watching a work in progress is quite amazing. Lee has the most infinite patience in his approach to his art and a painting can take many many hours as it slowly transforms from the mapped out sketch to the glorious detailed finished masterpiece. This is beautifully demonstrated with this set of four photos of his recently finished “Path to Fresh East” … what do you think?

If this inspires you and you adore Freshwater East don’t forget we are selling a limited edition of mounted prints 20″ x 16″ at £40. Just drop us a message We are happy to post out worldwide too as long as postage is covered!
