The stormy weather today has meant indoor play-time and, with Lee drawing up some new T-shirt designs, I was able to finish sewing the dress I started sewing last weekend. The gorgeous ‘bird and rose’ chintz fabric is genuine vintage sourced from auction and whilst it was probably meant for curtains I absolutely adore it.
This is the second dress I have made from this fabulous vintage Simplicity 3464 pattern, which is part of a huge collection of sewing patterns previously owned and of course sewn by my dress-making grandmother.
I am also wearing genuine 1950s sunglasses and a nasty red patch on my arm from an evil wasp that flew through the patio door and dive-bombed my arm-pit yesterday morning whilst I was relaxing in my bed. Ouch!
