Pride with different sides …

Well Storm Ciara May be blowing a mighty gale here in a Pembrokeshire but it is always warm and cosy in my little pink shed. It is such a lovely, cosy, creative space and simply the best environment to help others find a bit of arty fartyness too!

This week I undertook a fabulous sewing workshop with a lovely local lady who had found her own creativity through a very inspirational friend. The local lady brought in her own fabric and we decided to make a cushion with contrasting sides. We added a buttonhole and a vintage button as cute feature on the reverse.

We both loved the cushion, which was sewn beautifully, and I really think this lovely lady’s inspirational friend is smiling rather proudly right now!

In just two hours you really do learn so much … so why not spend some happy, arty farty time in the ThreadShed, Fresh East? ❤️

Vintage all the way…

A proper bright spark and her mum visited the ThreadShed this week. They were holidaying in the area doing lots of interesting activities and sewing cushion covers together was just one of the things on the itinerary. There is a great fabric stash in The ThreadShed and I just loved that Mum and Daughter picked some completely fabulous vintage fabric. Daughter loved orange and her choice of a bright 70’s fabric made a really happy and striking cushion cover, whilst Mum chose a beautiful ethnic style print in turquoise and browns. They both sewed beautifully and we all enjoyed the big reveal when the sewing was turned around and the cushions popped inside.

A Mother/Daughter sewing experience is a great way to spend a couple of hours together learning something new. Why not purchase a personalised gift voucher for someone you love and give them a simply perfect present?
