Fresh designs at The Freshwater Inn

So this weekend I have been mostly making polo shirts which were commissioned by The Freshwater Inn.

We are so lucky to have this  warm and welcoming village pub as our local. The pub is situated in Freshwater East village just above the  beach and has beautiful sea views from the garden and conservatory.  The pub has just had a super duper make-over and the owners wanted some smart  new polo shirts for their staff team.

Lee drew the original design for them (it’s absolutely  not just an off the shelf font folks)  and I got busy with the vinyl and cutting.

We just took all the polo shirts up to pub and had a super scrummy Sunday lunch too! Absolute result!

What do you think? (Dexter stuck his nose in the photo …good job it’s a dog friendly pub!)

Ace Marvel sleeve ..

Three years ago Lee started a Marvel sleeve on our middle son and just as we are celebrating Lee’s 21st birthday it is just about finished (a bit more work planned for the top of the arm and shoulder).  I have photographed and filmed the full progress of the sleeve from a bare arm to its current Marvel glory and I need to find time to sit down and edit it all … in the meantime here is Dale’s totally ace Marvel sleeve featuring Spider-Man, Wolverine, The Hulk and Dark Phoenix … what do you think?

21st Birthday Celebrations for Trash

Well  … we are celebrating Lee’s 21st birthday … hold on I hear you say didn’t Lee turn 50 last year?  He did indeed but this is his 21st birthday as a professional tattoo artist!

Birmingham born Lee, also known as ‘Trash,’ has been an artist since a child, and enjoyed the challenge of creating art in many different mediums before he discovered that his favourite canvas was skin.    He has now been celebrating 21 years of creating beautiful tattoos.

His career began at The Ink Shack, formerly of Coventry Road, Birmingham, but he soon swapped the big city life for the contrasting calmness, beauty and serenity of Pembrokeshire.  Lee’s first studio was on the Darkling near Pembroke Castle, but he moved to his current location at the top of Main Street, Pembroke around 8 years ago.

His bright studio, featuring his photo realism portraits and tattoo themed art-work is a hidden treasure, yet Lee has customers travelling hundreds of miles for his award winning art, huge talent and of course his TWENTY ONE years of tattoo experience.

To celebrate this 21st birthday milestone the studio has had a pretty cool make-over and we have designed a new logo. Lee is offering some free studio Tshirts and embroidered patches (featuring our new logo of course) to customers booking tattoos over the next few weeks.  You just need to mention our 21st birthday when you book your tattoo.

My Love  Forevermore …

We really enjoy a bit of extra arty-fartyness on special days and I am always so excited wondering what creativity Lee will surprise me with.

This morning I received a beautiful piece of polished drift wood picked up  from our beach. Lee had engraved the driftwood in a proper old fashioned style with a L & K in an arrowed heart. Simple but yet so beautiful.

Lee’s gift from me was a specially designed Valentine’s Day 2017 Tshirt featuring  the title of one of our favourite songs and the image of a dead man in the boot of a car! We both agree it is a very romantic gift indeed ❤️️

Happy Valentine’s Day to all you lovebirds!  Hope you all have a little love today and if you don’t then never give up … as me and Lee have shown it’s never too late to find your true love ❤️

A Canine Calling …

It’s been a little quiet for posting any arty fartyness this week. This is because we have spent the last week refurbing our studio. Despite the new flooring not being laid until Wednesday it’s still looking pretty fabulous.

We were delighted that one of the first visitors to step into our smart studio was the very gorgeous Jenkins.

Jenkins is a Guide Dog for one of our regular customers. We love to welcome Jenkins to our little studio but of course only really special working dogs like Jenkins have the privilege of visiting  a tattoo studio.

It was all good … Jenkins was a really well behaved doggy today and his owner was very happy with the feathered serpent  tattoo that Lee created for him!

A proper upgrade …

A lovely customer came in wanting something wonderful done to a tattoo started by another artist. Quite often Lee will prefer not to do this as his  creativity is constrained by the previous work but on the flip side he just loves an artistic challenge!

I think he did a fabulous upgrade on this one and we had a very happy customer at Foreverart Pembroke ❤️

A fairy good cover up …

Lee created this beautiful fairy cover up over some old dolphins this week.

I love fairies and so love this sweet tattoo.

It is evidence that there is no need to live with a tattoo on your body that you are not proud of but can have one especially created for you by Lee that you can really shout about ❤️
