Singing Sea Horse…

When I first met Lee he gave me a big handful of CDs to listen to in the car. One of the albums, Two Headed Tattooed Lover Girl by Easy Tigerz, has become my favourite album ever. The singer/guitarist/songwriter turned out to be a regular customer of Lee’s and I was absolutely blown away that, as a favour to Lee, he agreed to play at our wedding a couple of years ago. This vintage inspired, super talented, all round blinkin’ awesome bloke loves the ‘Old Skool’ style and has some great tattoos on him created by Lee. The latest tattoo addition at the studio this week was this gorgeous sea-horse. What do you think?

(Oh and by the way he has now gone solo as ‘Tinplate Tiger’ and if you click on Tinplate Tiger web page you will get to hear all his brilliant stuff too!)

Arty farty chocoholic …

So… Lee and I cwtched up in the warm last night to watch a great movie “Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool” – a heartwarming and tear jerking biopic of 1950’s film star Gloria Grahame. I was sipping on a cocktail of whisky, honey and lemon (damn Sister jetting off to the sun and leaving her germs behind) and Lee was munching on Terry’s Chocolate Orange. There was all this rustling of the foil paper and at the end of the movie this is what I found …

Barber John’s Trim …

Some friends of Lee’s, Jo and Kev, have opened a super new barber shop in Johnston, near Haverfordwest, with some parking around the back of the shop. This pair have impeccable taste and the barber shop is very retro and mighty cool. Of course they needed some wonderful artwork for the shop too and we were really happy to provide a range of Lee’s amazing art for the walls. Every limited edition canvas print on display is also for sale (£40 large canvas and £30 small canvas) so you can shop and get trim at the same time.

Jo has years of experience in creating fabulous hair and beards for her customers and Lee has years of experience in creating fabulous art… so it really is a match made in heaven. While Lee was there Jo trimmed the old punk into something into a lot less hairy and a lot more groomed – perfectly perfect!

We definitely highly recommend a visit to Barber John’s for a great haircut and great art!

Punk Rock Jesus …

So Stepson loves his comic books (oops sorry graphic novels) and one of his favourites is Punk Rock Jesus. In fact, he loved the book so much that he bought it for his dear old dad too, who also loved. With just a few more days before Stepson heads off for his final year in uni, Daddy and Son headed off to the studio for a tattoo bonding session and this image from the story was the result.

Wear your art on your tee…

So… this weekend I have mostly been creating cool T-shirts. I had a large order of staff/souvenir T-Shirts for The Longhouse beach bar and I also needed to restock their little shop with our fun Fresh East logo T-shirts (this little shop at the beach is our our sole supplier of the quirky Fresh East logo t-shirts). I also needed to re-stock the studio with our cool studio logo Tees. However, mostly I played with the sublimation printer to put Lee’s cool art on T-shirts. Me, my heat press, my vinyl cutter and my sublimation printer worked mighty damn hard let me tell you! But we are so blinkin happy with the arty t-shirts – they are a fab quality poly-cotton tee and with Lee’s magnificent artwork on the front are just simply FAB-U-LOUS!

My fav is the pink gerbera which was the very first, very sweet drawing Lee gave to me when we first met, and also the knitting needles in the heart shaped ball of wool is the drawing Lee made in memory of my Mam. Lee loves the Doc Martens Tee and the Eagle Tee but the possibilities of this are limitless – literally ANY image at all!

I think it’s a wonderful way to wear Lee’s art. We have a nice little stock now at the studio so pop in and you too can wear your art on your tee ❤️
