London calling…

Sometimes a mother and daughter just need a little quiet time together away from the hustle and bustle of life. Visiting The ThreadShed recently was a lovely Mum and her very gorgeous Daughter, both from London. They were holidaying in the area to celebrate a birthday and a graduation, and of course Pembrokeshire is the perfect place to cosy away, relax, celebrate, appreciate, and simply just breathe awhile.

For Mum and Daughter, getting all “arty farty” at The ThreadShed, Fresh East brought back lots of memories of them doing creative activities together through Daughter’s childhood too. We started with T-shirts, took a break for a scrummy ‘lunch with a view’ at our picturesque village pub ‘the Freshwater Inn,’ and moved to mugs in the afternoon. We explored lots of different creative ideas for their designs, but both Mum and Daughter were chuffed to bits with their final choices.

They were happy, funny, interesting, smiling people and it was a joy to spend a few hours with them both. I am so glad London came calling on this faraway town (village actually … but that didn’t work as well) 😄.

Easter Holiday Tees…

I had two gorgeous young visitors to The ThreadShed this week. Two holidaymakers came on an ‘arty farty design your own T-shirt’ experience with me.

They were bright, confident, lovely children with very clear ideas of what they wanted for their own tees. We had a great afternoon working up their designs together and they were both so pleased with their final designs. One T-shirt was of a golfing and sleeping theme and the other a horse and hydrangea design. They were both a delight to work with and I hope they come back and try some other ‘arty farty’ crafts with me when they next visit beautiful Freshwater East.

Don’t forget I take bookings for arty farty experiences for both children and adults. It’s always fun no matter how old or young you are ❤️

Happy Pet T-Shirt Day!

I recently had a fabulous morning with a couple of bright sparks visiting the ThreadShed. A young holidaymaker and his cousin came to an ‘arty farty’ design your own T-shirt workshop. They both had a head full of creative ideas and designed some gorgeous T-shirts around their much adored pets – so Copper the pony and puppies Daisy and Libby are now emblazoned on some colourful and unique personalised T-shirts being worn by some very happy, smiley, creative kids!

Oh and if you want happy smiley creative kids too then book them in at The ThreadShed Fresh East where they can choose from a huge choice of creative experiences.

Anniversary Tees …

I love helping people get all ‘arty farty’ and I have such a happy time hosting creative experiences in The ThreadShed. This weekend a Mother and Son visited all the way from Connecticut in the good ole US of A and designed some fabulous Tees to celebrate Grandpa’s 99th birthday! (Fair play Grandpa that is pretty epic). Also the son was so impressed with Lee’s original artwork that he booked in to have the image tattooed on his shoulder and on his very last day in the UK too! Damn good taste that man!!!

The next day my visitors were an adorable, loved up couple, celebrating their second wedding anniversary by enjoying a gloriously sunny, long weekend in beautiful Pembrokeshire. The second anniversary is traditionally “cotton” and so what could be more perfect than making a couple of Tees in the ThreadShed huh?

Happy Monday all and another creative fun day for me ❤️

Wear your art on your Tee …

I absolutely love adding a few new T-Shirt designs to our collection! Brother-in-law came to visit this weekend and is a fan of the ‘old skool’ Tattoo style art. We found some great pieces in Lee’s drawing book in and I was able to add them onto some T-shirts for him to take back to London. Inspired by the new designs I decided it was time to make myself a new Tee too and used Lee’s flaming heart and dagger drawing that I received as my Valentine Gift this year. Instead of wearing my heart on my sleeve I can now wear it on my Tee.

Don’t forget any of Lee’s art you admire can also be added to a Tee and of course will proudly bear our unique ‘Trashcan Emporium’ label.

We also have a pretty good selection of arty Tees in the studio at the mo so why not stop by and wear your art on your Tee too!

Cartoonize Your Doggy …

After the recent cartoonizing of the very handsome George I soon had another request to cartoonize another lovely pup.  Myla, a 4 month old Golden Retriever is the latest doggy addition to our dog loving family, and is owned by Daughter and Boyfriend.  Myla is one adorable little pup and I was delighted to cartoonize her.  I so enjoyed transforming Myla into a Pink Retriever but Daughter was determined that Myla should only be cartoonized as golden, being a Golden Retriever and all that.  I did have such fun with Myla’s gorgeous image and I am really delighted as how the cartoons came out.  I love how vivid and golden she is and of course that soulful expression pulls on the heart strings.  Sublimated onto a black Tee Myla looks absolutely stunning and I also popped her cartoon onto a little black rucksack for when she goes on doggy play dates or sleep overs.

If you would also like to cartoonize your doggy (or moggy), onto a bag or a Tee or whatever, then I’m your gal, and you really don’t need to keep your Golden Retriever golden, your Chocolate Lab chocolate or your Red Setter red either …
