Branded!

Today… 27th July 2020 … tattoo artists are back in business and amongst the last profession to get back up and running after lockdown. In order that we can be flexible, responsive and ensure a clean, safe, healthy environment we have closed our open access studio on Main Street, Pembroke where we had created ace tattoos for over 12 years, and have now opened a licensed garden studio in stunning Freshwater East. The studio has the new name of “Trashcan Tattoos” but the same old Brummy Punk Artist and Tattoo Artist, with 25+ years experience, with the ink and gun. The new studio has incorporated all the advice and guidance issued by the Tattoo and Piercing Union and is strictly appointment only with no waiting or walk-ins allowed.

We are ready to welcome back our loyal regulars as well as meeting new customers looking for some ace ink. To book an appointment just message us on social media or drop us an email on trashcan.emporium66@gmail.com.

To celebrate our rebranding we have some great new studio Tees available … just ask at your appointment.

Here is the man himself … totally branded!

Lockdown Birthday Tee

I’m pretty sure that buying a perfect birthday gift during lockdown can be a bit of a dilemma. However two clever mummies recently gifted their sons one of Trashcan Emporium’s cool lockdown Tees. One mummy picked one of Lee’s original skull images and added the lockdown location, name and age for her son and another mummy chose a “Corona Virus” Tee with their lockdown location for her son. Their boys have a pretty unique reminder of this crazy time and their lockdown birthday celebrations.

Thanks to both lovely ladies for supporting our little business in these tough times and a big happy, 17th and 11th, lockdown birthday to these blinkin’ gorgeous boys!

Ticket on a Tee…

Creative ideas are us. We are always thinking of new things to encourage purchases from our little ‘arty farty’ business. We also love it when we get given some awesome ideas from others too.

A runner up in our recent music quiz based in the 30 Day Music Challenge came up with a stormer of an idea (or actually his wife did). He was offered a design of his own choice sublimated onto our gorgeous poly-cotton Tees and chose to have a the treasured ticket from one of his top music gigs as the design.

Why put your treasured gig tickets in a drawer when you can put them on your TShirt?

‘Ticket on a Tee’ is a service available right now!

Which gig ticket would you love on your TShirt?

Miles away from ordinary …

So a lovely friend of mine in our village wanted a lockdown Tee as a surprise birthday gift for her husband. She inspired me with the design and we worked on it together (maintaining social distancing of course!). The final design was gifted to the birthday boy and soon a few spin offs, for an anniversary present for my neighbour and a topical Tee for The Husband, followed.

We can make these to order – changing location of lockdown as well as your personal wording … £15 per TShirt – and if it’s a gift then we can post to your recipient together with your personal message on a gift card – just drop us a message to order!

Unicorns and Cookie Monsters …

The “Arty Farty design your own TShirt” advertised on AirBnB as an experience is definitely the most popular thing to do in The ThreadShed. Each TShirt that leaves the ThreadShed is unique and is a wonderful reflection of the personality and character of the designer.

Recently two fabulous holidaymakers visiting the area came with their own pretty clear design ideas and it was great fun working with them both and watching their ideas evolve. Their final happy designs of a cookie monster bursting through a big cookie and a pink unicorn dead lifting giant balls of rainbow wool brought some smiles and will be a very unique reminder of their holiday in Wales.

Arrive angry – leave happy …

Had a great morning in the ThreadShed with a young man down from England scouting the area for schools and houses with his Mam. He had wanted to head back home first thing but Mam had already booked him a design your own TShirt experience at The ThreadShed. Nevertheless he soon got stuck right into the creative process and incorporated all his great ideas into a very unique and personal TShirt.

Best of all he told me that he had arrived angry but left happy! Absolute result!

Happy space – happy place ❤️

You’d Better Beware!

I’ve just spent a glorious couple of days walking a teeny bit of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal path with my Bestie and my God-Daughter! On their last night in glorious South West Wales we took a glass of wine into The ThreadShed and created some pretty cool T-shirts. Their design choices were penguins galore for my God-Daughter and a little tribute to 1970s band Sweet for my glam rock loving Bestie! I absolutely love sharing my gorgeous pink ThreadShed with my customers but sharing it with important people was pretty special! (In fact it was a bit of a Blockbuster!!!😄❤️)

Record Breakers…

It was a whole series of Record Breakers this week …

1) The youngest participant in a session = just 2 years old

2) The most participants in one session – a grandma, an auntie and two adorable children = 4 ‘arty farty’ participants

3) The most sessions on one day = 3

4) The most visitors/participants in one day = 8

5) The first time that Monty Don, of Gardeners World fame, has appeared on a T-shirt leaving The ThreadShed Fresh East

A great day – I loved it all and I really hope that there will be more record Breakers to come – after all “dedication, dedication, dedication is what you need.”
