I absolutely love adding a few new T-Shirt designs to our collection! Brother-in-law came to visit this weekend and is a fan of the ‘old skool’ Tattoo style art. We found some great pieces in Lee’s drawing book in and I was able to add them onto some T-shirts for him to take back to London. Inspired by the new designs I decided it was time to make myself a new Tee too and used Lee’s flaming heart and dagger drawing that I received as my Valentine Gift this year. Instead of wearing my heart on my sleeve I can now wear it on my Tee.
Don’t forget any of Lee’s art you admire can also be added to a Tee and of course will proudly bear our unique ‘Trashcan Emporium’ label.
We also have a pretty good selection of arty Tees in the studio at the mo so why not stop by and wear your art on your Tee too!
After the recent cartoonizing of the very handsome George I soon had another request to cartoonize another lovely pup. Myla, a 4 month old Golden Retriever is the latest doggy addition to our dog loving family, and is owned by Daughter and Boyfriend. Myla is one adorable little pup and I was delighted to cartoonize her. I so enjoyed transforming Myla into a Pink Retriever but Daughter was determined that Myla should only be cartoonized as golden, being a Golden Retriever and all that. I did have such fun with Myla’s gorgeous image and I am really delighted as how the cartoons came out. I love how vivid and golden she is and of course that soulful expression pulls on the heart strings. Sublimated onto a black Tee Myla looks absolutely stunning and I also popped her cartoon onto a little black rucksack for when she goes on doggy play dates or sleep overs.
If you would also like to cartoonize your doggy (or moggy), onto a bag or a Tee or whatever, then I’m your gal, and you really don’t need to keep your Golden Retriever golden, your Chocolate Lab chocolate or your Red Setter red either …
Meet George, the very handsome Vizsla.
Yesterday George visited The Thread Shed with his proud mam and dad who were going to spend a couple of hours with me designing their own T-Shirts. Unfortunately my trusted Silhouette programme, on which I have designed and made over 600 images, chose yesterday to be completely evil, and every time we tried to play with George’s photo to turn him into a cartoon doggy, Silhouette would crash and die. Images I had previously saved were lost, files disappeared, and Silhouette began rapidly flashing on and off. Because I have always used Silhouette so successfully unfortunately I didn’t have a back up plan to cope with it’s very bad and extremely naughty behaviour. Luckily George’s parents were simply lovely and very patient, and finally we abandoned Silhouette and they headed over to Paint to create their designs.
Handsome George became a cute cartoon doggy on his mam’s Tee, and some original geometric designs were sublimated onto his dad’s Tee.
This morning I have been investigating and it seems that a Windows 10 update may have caused a compatibility issue with Silhouette. Further investigations are underway.
A huge thank you to George and his mum and dad for being such lovely visitors, and for their humour and patience. I really hope they will enjoy wearing their unique and original T-shirts designed (eventually) here at The ThreadShed in Fresh East.
The moral of this story, of course, is ALWAYS HAVE A BACK UP PLAN.
Over the holiday period our Freshwater East T-shirts have been snapped up by lots of people to give to friends and relatives as gifts. We know for sure that some ended up in Australia and Hawaii but we also know some have just gone on a little holiday.
Here is one happy T-Shirt currently on holiday in Malaga.
We love to see our creations all around the world so do send us your pics … and we really do think that Freshwater East is probably the best beach in the world ❤️
I have been busily making us some new Tees for our forthcoming little jaunt. I absolutely adore this vest with a print of some art that Lee created for a Valentines gift for me.
It immortalises our first dance as Mr and Mrs, whilst still in the beautiful chapel at Manorbier Castle, to ‘Baby I Love You’ by The Ramones.
I am one lucky gal … and so to my beautiful, creative, colourful, kind, and now beardless husband…
‘Baby I Love You Too’ ❤️
So… this weekend I have mostly been creating cool T-shirts. I had a large order of staff/souvenir T-Shirts for The Longhouse beach bar and I also needed to restock their little shop with our fun Fresh East logo T-shirts (this little shop at the beach is our our sole supplier of the quirky Fresh East logo t-shirts). I also needed to re-stock the studio with our cool studio logo Tees. However, mostly I played with the sublimation printer to put Lee’s cool art on T-shirts. Me, my heat press, my vinyl cutter and my sublimation printer worked mighty damn hard let me tell you! But we are so blinkin happy with the arty t-shirts – they are a fab quality poly-cotton tee and with Lee’s magnificent artwork on the front are just simply FAB-U-LOUS!
My fav is the pink gerbera which was the very first, very sweet drawing Lee gave to me when we first met, and also the knitting needles in the heart shaped ball of wool is the drawing Lee made in memory of my Mam. Lee loves the Doc Martens Tee and the Eagle Tee but the possibilities of this are limitless – literally ANY image at all!
I think it’s a wonderful way to wear Lee’s art. We have a nice little stock now at the studio so pop in and you too can wear your art on your tee ❤️
